Fantastic Four

After a rocky few years, Marvel Studios is finally seeing a true revival. Fantastic Four: First Steps has become Marvel’s first film of 2025 to open above $100 million domestically, grossing over $218 million globally in its opening weekend.

This film isn’t just another superhero movie—it marks a turning point for the MCU. With fresh faces, tighter storytelling, and grounded stakes, First Steps brings the classic Marvel family back to the big screen in a way fans actually care about.

Directed by Matt Shakman and starring Joseph Quinn, Vanessa Kirby, and Diego Luna, the film retells the origin of Marvel’s first family with a modern, emotional twist. The chemistry between the characters, particularly Reed and Sue, adds warmth rarely seen in the superhero genre lately.

Critics are praising its balance of action and character development, while fans are relieved to see Marvel focusing less on multiverse confusion and more on real stakes and personal conflict.

With the franchise fatigue finally wearing off and the studio learning from past missteps (Quantumania, anyone?), Fantastic Four might just be the spark Marvel needed to restart the engine.
